    Death of a Forum

    Post  F.M.H.B. on Mon Aug 23, 2010 2:05 pm

29 people who have not posted in the last 3 days, 26 people who have not even been on in the last 3 days. I think it is safe to say that this little endeavor of mine is dying, which is a pity.

I don't really blame anybody. Me yelling at people and being a belligerent asshole probably hasn't helped member retention, nor has the sign up or the exam. I probably put in place too many roadblocks too fast. It's my own fault. People have better things to do than talk on the internet all day.

Well, it was worth a shot at least. I wonder how quickly this place'll die out completely...

    My bets within two weeks.

3 people have posted in the last 3 days. You, me and SingleJ.

I don't know what to do.

Can I just say that I enjoy coming here because it gives me a place for at least semi-intelligent conversation (not to hurt anyone's feelings, I'm not saying you all are unintelligent, I just don't want ego things goin' on...)? I don't get the chance to have very educated conversations with anyone anymore. Seriously, some of you know the person I'm with, the ultimate "copy/paster." And here, I feel secure, as in I can ask any question my heart may desire and don't worry about being told to shush because that's a stupid question.

Maybe I've leeched onto this thing and now kind of have an unhealthy attachment.

    Just letting you know.

And, I know I don't post frequently, sometimes I don't know what to say about the particular subject, or I have no interest in that subject, or someone has said what I think already (I suppose in that case a "ditto" would be allowed, but I like the security of knowing this place is here when I yearn for good conversation. Maybe I should just go to Gettysburg....

Haha. Well, maybe cutting down on a few people will be good. As long as a few of us still enjoy it here we can talk and such to our hearts content, you know?

I'm just really busy recently. I just got done in camp only to land in Student Leadership Institution. Woo hooooo! Nah, but, I should be back on more often once school starts.

I've been at band camp...10 hours of rehearsal a day doesn't leave much non-sleeping free time. Gimme a break.

Everyone who has Stumble should go like this website. And then perhaps we'll get some stumblers, at least.
