My father recently retired from the Air Force after 22 years of service. He has served overseas every two years or so. He along with many other current and former military members are being honored/remembered today. However, I notice that it is only those who are family of military members that remember others, who didn't face gunfire don't risk their lives for their country. Why is it that the families of military members are seldom recognized on days like today?
