Avalon, I don't know any specific charities that help urban schools, but I know of one that helps gifted students of urban schools get a better education.

ABC takes students who have scored well in the past out of problem inner city schools and puts them in a high quality suburban school system for high school. I know for a fact that the program works because we have a boy's and a girl's ABC house in my home town (that's really where about all our black students came form...). I've seen what this charity can do, and it's good.
How about it? Would this be a good charity for The Colloquium to patronize?
